Calvin Klein Collection Spring 2014

Fancisco Costa, head designer at Calvin Klein Collection, finds beauty in the unfinished, seemingly random and improvised. His experimental aesthetic brings a conceptual eye to the house that once represented American sportswear at its most reductive.

Drawing inspiration from Peter Bialobrezki's photographs of the innovative shanty shacks of Manila created using a patchwork of available materials, Jim Naughtens portrayals of the costumes of Namibia's Herero tribe, and Man Rays idiosyncratic beauties, Costa creates a beautiful story using hand-crafted, custom-developed fabrics.
