The Grey Concept
The Grey Concept launches tomorrow in select H&M stores and online. Previous Grey collections have only been for guys, but this one includes women's pieces as well. Seems fitting to launch this collection now during the cold, dark months when many of us are opting for black and grey wear.
What do you think of all the greyness?
If you're interested, you can view more from the collection here.
Started the day off with pancakes and yoga. Now lunch with a friend and then I'm going to spend the rest of the day painting. This orchid will serve as today's color inspiration.
Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday!

The reason I'm not studying right now? This magazine is in my possession and it's just too hard to resist flipping through the glossy pages. I wish I could read Italian, but the gorgeous images in this issue speak volumes. I really like the baroque-inspired black and gold coat to the right.. maybe not everyday wear, but I still wouldn't mind having it in my closet.
This yellow skirt is the newest addition to my closet. I really like the color - I think it will go great with black, white and grey and spice up my otherwise somber winter wardrobe.
I got a white sweater last week, too, and I've already worn it a lot. It's so comfortable! It's made from organic cotton which gives me all the more reason to like it.

Striped Maxi Skirt
These black and white striped maxi skirts were caught on camera in the streets of Milan and Paris. Personally, I think the first skirt from Kenzo is more interesting, but I like how the girl in the second photo accessorised her outfit and paired the skirt with an Alexander McQueen scarf.
Who do you think wore it better?
Photographed at Paris fashion week, Leigh Lezark.

There are things in my closet that have barely ever been worn.. and then there are those special pieces in there that I seemingly never get tired of wearing. Here are two of my favorites:

In My Dreams
..pretty much this entire collection. I had trouble picking favorites. Somehow Alexander Wang manages to make everything monochrome and not boring. I wouldn't mind having any of these pieces in my closet.. Especially wouldn't mind that black dress with the strappy cut-out gorgeousness happening in the back. The perfect little black dress.
Which look is your favorite?

Sweaters & Things
The sweater I got at H&M a few weeks ago is quickly becoming a new favorite. I'm liking this combination of yellow and grey, and seeing as I don't get enough use out of my many hats, I figured I might wear one of them today.
Tröjan jag köpte på H&M för några veckor sedan har snabbt blivit en ny favorit! Gillar kombinationen av grått och gult och med tanke på att jag inte använder mina hattar så ofta tänkte jag passa på att ha en på mig idag.

Tiffany & Co. / Video
The amazing Danny Roberts of Igor + André - this man is such an inspiration (!) Here is a video of Danny painting a mural outside Tiffany & Co. in Soho this summer. Those of you who follow his blog may have already seen this (somehow I missed it) but anyway, it's worth a look !

R/H Spring/Summer 2013
"R/H's unique world of colors, shapes and relaxed style developed into a collection rich on playful details combined with nordic minimalism, insightful feminine cuts, colorful prints and a certain spirit of black magic – still light and easy to wear."
I like their use of patterns and combinations of jersey, silk fabrics and organic leather. You can learn more about the R/H brand here.
I'm usually not big on the color pink, but I thought these outfits were fun - mixing small polka dots with larger ones. Clever. I'm especially a fan of the second look - she manages to make all those dots look so classy.

When I was in Minnesota this summer I was reunited with some of my artwork that I had left at my brother's when I moved to Sweden. One of the paintings was this self-portrait that I painted 2006.

The White Sky
Stefano Bonazzi is an Italian artist who creates digital compositions. His surrealist images are often dark, making references to dreaming worlds or nightmares. This image, titled The White Sky is hauntingly beautiful. The face is covered, as it is in most of his works, and the image tells a story though its dream-like surrealism.

I've always been a huge Cat Power fan and I love this song.. I was excited for the release of the video, but I don't really get it. Do you? Maybe I was just expecting something different.. Give the song a listen, though, if you haven't already.
Can you believe Chan Marshall just turned 40? I can't. The woman doesn't age. She's always had great style and has worked in the fashion industry on a few occasions. She was noticed by Karl Lagerfeld while she was standing outside of a club smoking a cigarette and went on to do ads for Chanel in 2007.

There's definitely a chill in the air - winter is just around the corner. When it gets here, I'll be ready. I found these things the other day (I'll post a better picture of the coat soon) :

View more images from the collection here. It's gotten mixed reviews. Personally, I like most of the collection - especially the hats. What do you think?
Danish designer Atifa Rasooli has an esthetic of stillness and her designs are very minimal - from color to cut. She launched her first collection in 2012. The fabrics used in Rasooli's 2013 collection are silk, cotton and viscose.
When I first saw there images, I thought they looked Amish.. What do you think of Rasoolis minimalistic designs?

These arrived at my door the other day. The boots fit perfectly (!) but the height of the heel will take some getting used to. I really like the dress - it's simple and the folds in the front make it a little more interesting. The color is nice, a bit unusual.
Ps what do you think of my squirrel-on-a-branch wall hooks? They're from Designtorget. They also have birds, but I figured I already have enough birds around the apartment..
